Tor Grotesk Ceramic Set

Can we use typographic points to measure objects?

We created a set of limited-run ceramic objects that translate the aesthetics of traditional type specimens into the physical world. Every object was carefully handmade and assembled by our team.

By using typographic point sizes as a shared code, we’re testing how far this system, inherited from the earliest days of typesetting, can stretch beyond the page and still remain legible within the design community.

Each set includes three ceramic objects:
A mug (125pt.), an espresso cup (102pt.) and a candle holder (76pt.).
Many thanks to our friends at Zakwas Studio (PL), who helped us along the process.
